沿革

  1. 1891Founded in November (Meiji 24) by first-generation Seizo Kawahito, who started sake brewing in Kanonji, Sanuki (Kagawa), and coined the brand name "Kawatsuru."
  2. 1937The company was formally incorporated in December (Showa 12) as Kawatsuru Shuzo Co., Ltd.
  3. 1960Received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
  4. 1991Celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding.
  5. 2004Yuichiro Kawahito became the 6th-generation head brewer and representative director, shifting the brewery's focus toward quality-driven sake making.
  6. 2021Celebrated the 130th anniversary of its founding.
