Morita Co., Ltd. has been brewing sake since 1665 on the Chita Peninsula in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, making it one of the older continuously operating breweries in the Chubu region. The Nenohi brand, named for the first Rat Day of the zodiac cycle that traditionally marks the new year, was crafted to complement the bold umami-rich flavors of Aichi cuisine, including tamari soy sauce and Hatcho miso.
