  1. 1922Founded as Hakkaisan Brewery Co., Ltd. under president Koichi Nagumo (Taisho 11).
  2. 1953Second-generation president Kazuo Nagumo took over the business (Showa 28).
  3. 1979Ended a discount-pricing policy on April 15 to invest more in raw materials and labor (Showa 54).
  4. 1997Third-generation president Jiro Nagumo took office (Heisei 9).
  5. 2016Obtained a whisky distilling license and began whisky production in Uonuma (Heisei 28).
  6. 2019Established the Niseko Distillery as a group company (Reiwa 1).
  7. 2021Established Hakkaisan Brewery USA in New York (Reiwa 3).
  8. 2023Released 'Hakkaisan Hyaku' to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary (Reiwa 5).
