Maihime Co., Ltd. has been brewing sake in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture since 1894 and is counted among the historic Five Suwa Breweries. Shinshumaihime is the brewery's community-rooted brand, crafted from Nagano-grown rice and soft water drawn from the Kirigamine highlands, with a focus on calm aromatics and a balance of rice umami and acidity. The brewery also produces the premium Suiro label, but Shinshumaihime reflects the traditional, locally oriented side of the Suwa brewing identity.
