Hiramatsu is the signature sake label of Shinozaki Co., Ltd., a multi-generational brewery established around 220 years ago in the Asakura region of Fukuoka Prefecture, one of Kyushu's leading grain-producing areas. The brewery draws subsoil water from the Aso mountains and uses locally grown rice to produce Hiramatsu as a limited namazake, appreciated for its smooth, subtly sweet character. Hiramatsu was served at the 2015 World Economic Forum banquet in Davos, marking its recognition beyond Japan's borders.
