- 1848Founded in 1848 (Kaei 1), at the end of the Edo period. The shop was originally called Iseya Honten.
- 1987In 1987, the brewery converted its entire production to junmai (pure rice) sake, becoming the first all-junmai brewery in Japan since World War II.
