Tsurunoike

Tsurunoike was the representative sake of Kosaka Shuzo, founded in 1913 in Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture, where the brewery took its name from the cranes that historically descended to drink from the area's many agricultural reservoirs. The brewery used soft well water drawn from stable mountain strata and traditional iron rice steamers, producing a full-bodied, gently sweet sake suited to the warm climate and vegetable-centered cuisine of the region. The brewery closed in 2020, making Tsurunoike a discontinued label.
