Sake Brand

Takumi

Kyohime Shuzo was established in 1918 in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of Japan's most storied sake-producing districts, and the name Kyohime combines the characters for Kyoto and princess to evoke the elegant, feminine character of the sake. In 1974, the brewery joined the Sekaitaka Koyamaya Group, and in 1997 it was renamed Kyohime Shuzo to reflect this identity. The brewery's motto of Quality First is expressed through its flagship Takumi range, crafted using Yamadanishiki rice from Hyogo and time-honored artisanal techniques.
