Kyohime Shuzo, established in 1918 in Kyoto's Fushimi district, draws its name from the image of a Heian-period princess and is inspired by the literary world of The Tale of Genji. Situated in one of Japan's most celebrated brewing regions, the brewery uses spring water drawn from an on-premises well to produce sake with the characteristic soft umami and delicate texture of Fushimi-style sake, with its Junmai Daiginjo Takumi as the flagship expression.
