Kanbai Shuzo, based in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, has farmed its own sake rice since its establishment and is recognized as a 'cultivation-brewing brewery' committed to tracing each bottle back to its own fields in the Osaki Koto district, a UNESCO World Agricultural Heritage site. The brewery grows four different rice varieties from seed, including Miyamanishiki, Aikoku, Hiyori, and Yamadanishiki, using only Miyagi-grown rice and producing exclusively junmai sake. Miyakanbai Junmai Ginjo 45 has been selected for Singapore Airlines Suites class service, reflecting its international standing.
