Kyohina

Sakaroku Sake Brewing was formed in 1920 through the merger of eight breweries in Uchiko Town, Ehime Prefecture, with the Kyohina brand name coined in 1941 in honor of a revered Kyoto monk who praised the sake on the Doll Festival. The brewery describes its sake as expressing the five classical tastes of sweet, sour, astringent, spicy, and bitter in a subtle harmony, aiming for what it calls pure and elegant sake that reflects the gentle climate of inland Ehime.
