Sake Brand

Kesennumaotokoyama

Kesennumaotokoyama is produced by Otokoyamahonten, founded in 1912 in the coastal city of Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, a port town whose seafaring identity permeates the brewery's philosophy of making sake that expresses its home. The brewery uses locally cultivated sake rice including the Miyagi-specific Kura no Hana variety and soft spring water called Kojin Yusui, drawn from the Kashiori district. Several brands are produced under the same roof, with Kesennuma Otokoyama representing the brewery's classic junmai and ginjo range.
