Sasaiwai Sake Brewery, located in Niigata City, has produced Chikurinsoufu as one of its two flagship labels for more than a century alongside its house brand Sasaiwai. The name evokes the image of a cool breeze moving through a bamboo grove, capturing the refined, refreshing character the brewery pursues with this special honjozo brewed from the legendary Kame-no-o rice cultivated specially for the brewery by local Nishi-kanbara farmers. Described as a local landmark sake in the Niigata region, Chikurinsoufu offers a gentle, mellow smoothness that has made it a longstanding staple for the community.
