호쿠세츠 사케 브루어리는 1872년 니가타현 사도섬에 설립되었으며, 섬에서 재배한 쌀과 부드러운 산악 용수, 그리고 동해의 기후가 어우러져 150년이 넘는 양조의 역사를 이어오고 있습니다. 이 양조장의 사케는 뉴욕, 로스앤젤레스, 런던, 밀라노, 두바이의 노부 레스토랑에서 제공되며, 사도의 테루아를 세계 유명 레스토랑에 선보이고 있습니다. 또한 호쿠세츠는 음악의 효과를 재현한다고 알려진 초음파를 이용해 사케를 숙성시키는 독특한 방식으로도 유명합니다.
