Tomigawa

Tomigawa is produced by Tomikawa Shuzoten, founded in 1913 in Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture, situated along the Ara River and drawing water from Shounin-zawa, one of Japan's 100 famous spring water sources, flowing beneath a landscape associated with the Nine-Tailed Fox legend of the region. The brewery produces two main brands: the long-running Chuai (忠愛), brewed since the founding era, and Tomigawa (富美川), a modern lineup emphasizing fresh raw sake with aromatic fragrance and rich rice umami using Yamada Nishiki, Miyama Nishiki, and Gohyakumangoku rice. Two Tomikawa products hold certification as designated Yaita Brand regional products.
