Monmeru

Montmeru (Monmeru) is a sake line developed by Myoko Shuzo in Niigata Prefecture with the explicit goal of pairing Japanese sake with Western foods such as cheese, chicken, and caviar. The brewery uses Niigata-grown sake rice and water from the Myoko mountain range, fermenting with multiple yeast strains at low temperatures before sealing in flavor through bottle pasteurization and a period of cellaring. Each bottling features a bold, internationally styled label designed to stand out on tables worldwide, reflecting the brand's ambition to take Niigata sake to a global audience.
