Founded in 1917 in Shiga Prefecture, Mifuku Shuzo has built its flagship Mifuku brand around the yamahai brewing method, producing sake with the deep, rich character that defines the region's brewing tradition. In 2007, the brewery launched the Sanrensei sub-brand to mark its centenary, pairing three grades of premium junmai sake with three iconic Shiga rice varieties. Both lines reflect a commitment to hand-crafted local sake that balances traditional technique with modern ginjo sensibilities.
