1899
Enoki Shuzo was founded in the Ondo district of present-day Kure, Hiroshima (Meiji 32).
1974
The brewery produced Japan's first kijoshu (sweet sake made by fermenting with sake instead of water), in the 1974 brewing year (Showa 49).
2001
The brewery achieved Hiroshima's first quadruple crown, including gold at the National New Sake Awards, in the Heisei 13 brewing year.
2010
The 8-year aged kijoshu was named champion at the International Wine Challenge Sake category.
2011
The 8-year aged kijoshu won gold in the aged sake category at the International Wine Challenge.
2017
The 8-year aged kijoshu won bronze in the aged sake category at the International Wine Challenge.
2008-2024
The 8-year aged kijoshu received the trophy in the aged sake category at the International Wine Challenge multiple times (2008, 2010, 2012-2016, 2019-2021, 2023-2024).
