沿革

  1. 1717Aoki Shuzo was founded in Shiozawa, in what is now Minamiuonuma, Niigata Prefecture, beginning over 300 years of unbroken sake brewing.
  2. 1770Suzuki Bokushi, a merchant-essayist and ancestor of the current brewery owner, was born in Shiozawa. He is said to have named the brand 'Kakurei' and later wrote the celebrated chronicle of snow-country life, 'Hokuetsu Seppu.'
  3. 1955The brewery was incorporated as Aoki Shuzo Co., Ltd. in December (Showa 30).
