Chuushingura is the signature brand of Okutoshouji, the sole sake producer in Ako City, Hyogo, a town historically known for the vendetta of the 47 ronin. The brewery, founded in 1601, has served as an official sake supplier to the Ako domain and focuses on richly flavored, hand-crafted sake.
