Yukinomatsushima

Taiwagura Shuzo was established in 1996 in Taira Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and took over the Yukinomatsushima brand from a brewery originally founded in 1798, preserving a name with deep regional resonance. The brewery has since evolved from fully automated production to a hybrid approach, incorporating hand-made koji for its premium ginjo-grade sake alongside modern equipment. Yukinomatsushima is perhaps best known for its Ultra-Dry +20 expression, claimed to be one of Japan's driest sakes, while the broader lineup also includes award-winning junmai genshu that took first place in its category at the SAKE COMPETITION 2023.
