Sato Shuzoten was founded in 1844 in Ogose, Saitama Prefecture, a forested town in the Chichibu foothills where the brewery produces sake in small tanks with meticulous attention to each batch. The brewery is led by Mariko Sato, the first female toji in Saitama Prefecture, whose approach has brought renewed attention to this long-established kura. Ogosebairin is the house brand, available in styles ranging from yamahai to hiyaoroshi seasonal releases.
