Narimasa Shuzo, established in the Meiji era in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, draws its brewing water from a legendary spring called the Spear-Tip Water, said to have gushed forth when the warlord Sassa Narimasa thrust his spear into the slopes of Io-zan during the Sengoku period. The brand name honors that same warlord who once ruled this corner of Etchu Province, and the brewery is known for its commitment to clean, precise sake designed to complement the rich cuisine of the Hokuriku region.
