Fujinishiki Shuzo was founded in 1688 at the foot of Mount Fuji in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka, and is now in its 18th generation of family brewing. The brewery grows its own Homarefuji rice on its own property, draws spring water filtered through volcanic bedrock from 30 meters underground, and uses Shizuoka's native yeast, making it one of the most self-contained terroir-driven breweries in Japan. Fujinishiki Junmai Ginjo won the Platinum Prize at Kura Master 2021 in France.
