Chikushinohomare Shuzo, founded in 1897 in Kurume City's Kojima-jima district in Fukuoka Prefecture, brews within the fertile Chikushi Plain, nourished by the Chikugo River, Japan's largest river in Kyushu. The brewery carries forward its founder's spirit through small-batch, handcrafted production using local rice and water, and its daiginjo has won gold at the Fukuoka National Tax Bureau Sake Competition.
