Toyokuni Shuzo was established in 1830 in Furudono Town, Fukushima Prefecture, and has been overseen by nine generations of the Yanai family. The Azumatoyokuni brand, brewed with hard mineral water drawn from beneath Mount Kamakura, has won the Gold Prize at the Annual Japan Sake Awards nine consecutive years.
