Asamanishiki

Asama Shuzo was founded in 1872 in the mountainous western reaches of Gunma Prefecture, close to the hot-spring town of Kusatsu, making it one of the prefecture's most remote and high-altitude breweries. The brewery has shifted over time from large-scale output to small-batch, quality-focused production, drawing on the cool mountain climate and locally grown rice. Its premium line has captured gold awards 18 times at the All Japan New Sake Appraisal and multiple honors at the International Wine Challenge.
