Kitagawahonke has brewed sake in Fushimi, Kyoto since 1657, making it one of the oldest operating breweries in a district celebrated for its soft, clear spring water. The Anaze brand, brewed in limited quantities since 2003, takes its name from a seasonal winter wind and draws its initial character from the brewery's Inuikura, with the intention of bringing a fresh current of air into the lineup. With over 360 years of tradition in one of Japan's largest sake-producing districts, Kitagawahonke brings deep craft heritage to each expression under this label.
