- 1824Seiroku Shigeno founded Shigeno Sake Brewery in Muramatsu-Nakamachi (Bunsei 7).
- 1907The brewery acquired the soon-to-close Mitozuru sake brewery and established it as the Kamimachi plant (Meiji 40).
- 1926The company closed its pharmacy business and consolidated fully into sake brewing (Taisho 15).
- 1948The sake brand 'Kinshihai' was launched (Showa 23).
- 1952Kinshihai Shuzo Co., Ltd. was formally established (Showa 27).
- 1983The sake brand 'Echigo Toji' was launched (Showa 58).
- 2002The premium sake brand 'Kinuotome' was launched (Heisei 14).
- 2014Tomoyuki Shigeno became president, with Koichi Shigeno moving to chairman (Heisei 26).
