沿革
- 1717Founded in Kami-Suwa as "Otsuya", a rice wholesaler serving as a licensed merchant to the Suwa-Takashima domain.
- 1887Opened an imported-liquor and canned-goods wholesale business, also named "Otsuya", in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
- 1897A branch family opened a business in Einmei village, Suwa County (now Chino City), as Miyasaka Kojiro Shoten.
- 1914Founded Otsuya Honke Shuzojo and began brewing sake; the "Daiya Kiku" brand gained popularity in the Tokyo market.
- 1951Established as Daiya Kiku Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 2005Renovated the brewery to strengthen quality-control systems.
- 2008Renamed the company Suwa Otsuya Honke Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 2020Renamed the company Toda Shuzo Co., Ltd., its current name.
