沿革
- 1715Founded during the Kyoho era of the Edo period (around 1715).
- 1940Yasukichi Onuma, credited with reviving the Toraya brewery, spun off the Sagae factory as an independent company (now Chiyokotobuki Toraya) and renamed the main house 'Kotobukitoraya Shuzo'.
- 1962Built a new plant in Nanukamachi, central Yamagata City, with one basement level and three above-ground floors, approximately 1,200 tsubo.
- 1989Began operations on January 25 at a new suburban plant (site area approx. 6,000 tsubo, building area approx. 2,000 tsubo).
