Ikujii

Harada Shuzo was founded in 1855 in the Ikuji district of Higashi-ura, Aichi Prefecture, and its flagship brand Ikujii takes its name from a historic well sacred to Yamato Takeru no Mikoto that has stood to the west of the brewery since ancient times. The brewery farms its sake rice locally through contract cultivation, using varieties such as the regional Yume-Ginko in its pure rice daiginjo expressions. Ikujii is positioned as sake for unhurried, ceremonial moments, with the brewery describing its aim as a calm and deeply satisfying sake worthy of special company.
