沿革
- 1848Founding ancestor Gihei Sawada started sake brewing in this water-rich area and expanded trade routes by boat to Nagoya, Shizuoka, and Tokyo.
- 1951Seishu Hakurou won first place at the 1st Aichi Prefecture Sake Brewing Competition.
- 1953Reorganized as Sawada Shuzo Co., Ltd. under the motto of better sake and a quality loved by customers.
- 1969Launched the nama (unpasteurized) sake 'Kurabito Dake Shika Nomenu Sake,' ahead of the rest of the country.
- 1982Won the Gold Award at the National New Sake Awards.
- 1989The 5th-generation head began opening the brewery to the public for tours.
- 2007Launched the plum liqueur 'Hakuroubai' using Soori plums from the Chita area.
- 2015The 6th-generation head established the management philosophy of 'Gohou-yoshi' (good for workers, sellers, buyers, society, and nature).
