沿革

  1. 1752Saburoemon Ota established Daishichi Sake Brewery (originally named "Oyama") in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima.
  2. 1928Daishichi sake was selected as the ceremonial sake for Emperor Showa's enthronement ceremony.
  3. 1938Daishichi won the top overall prize (first place nationwide) at the 16th National New Sake Competition.
  4. 1982The ninth-generation head launched "Daishichi Kimoto" as a standalone product for the first time, achieving major success.
  5. 2006Rice-polishing manager Yoshio Ogata was honored as a "Contemporary Master Craftsman" (Gendai no Meiko).
  6. 2016Current toji Takanobu Sato was honored as a "Contemporary Master Craftsman," making Daishichi the only brewery to produce Gendai no Meiko honorees in both the rice-polishing and brewing categories; the brewery also received the inaugural Fukushima Industry Award's top Governor's Prize.
  7. 2018Daishichi received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 7th Monodukuri Nippon Grand Award, the highest such honor in the industry's history.
