Fukuchisammannisengoku

Fukuchisammannisengoku is the flagship brand of Towashuzo, the last remaining sake brewery in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto, a city with a long brewing history reflected in the brand name referencing the historical rice yield of the domain. The brewery nearly closed in 2011 but was revived by the brewer's daughter, Imakawa Jun, who returned to lead production using the brewery's own well water and locally sourced rice. Towashuzo also produces the Rokkan series with distinctive label designs, but Fukuchisammannisengoku remains the symbol of the brewery's roots and regional identity.
