1829An Omi merchant founded the sake brewery "Tonoike Sogoro Shoten" in Utsunomiya, Tochigi, the origin of the Tonoike family sake business.
1937Tonoike Itsugoro founded Tonoike Shuzoten in Mashiko as a branch of the family business, brewing under the brand name "Yachiyozuru."
2012Began production of the new brand "Bo (望)".
2015Toji Ono Makoto took the lead in earnestly advancing the brewery's sake-making.
2019Launched the new brand "Tonoike AUTHENTIC."
2022Won the President's Award (overall 1st place) at Kura Master in France.
