酒名"麒麟"源于新潟县东蒲原郡津川町建造的麒麟城,酒造于1873年创立。历代藏主——前会长佐藤平八(农学博士)及现任社长佐藤俊一(农学博士)均曾担任国税局鉴定官,将深厚的酿造技术贯彻至酿酒的每个环节。在全国众多酒造中,两代亲子皆以鉴定官身份从事酿酒指导者实属罕见,该酒造以精湛技艺持续酿制顺应时代的正统清酒。
