Kisenju

Naratoyosawa Shuzo was founded in the first year of the Meiji era in Nara City, a prefecture long regarded as the birthplace of Japanese sake, and produces a small-batch output of approximately 20,000 bottles annually. The brewery has operated with minimal mechanization since its founding, and today devotes 80 percent of production to junmai-shu and other specially designated sake grades; it is also entrusted with producing the Sakadono sake tied to Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
