Hatsuyumezakura is produced by Moritakinshachi Shuzo, a brewery with roots in the Handa City area of Aichi Prefecture, tracing its heritage to the historic Kamezaki district known for its Shiohi Matsuri festival. The brewery draws on soft riverbed water from the Chita Peninsula and pursues delicate flavors that highlight the natural character of the rice. The name, meaning first dream cherry blossom, evokes the auspicious first dream of the New Year, one of the brewery's two signature brands alongside Kinshachi.
