Homare Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. was established in 1918 in the snow-rich Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, where soft spring water from Mount Iide, known as Kitakata Meisui, is the foundation of its delicate brewing style. Slow fermentation in soft water produces sake with a light, smooth, and refreshing character, and Homare takes a data-driven approach to quality, combining brewer experience with analytical monitoring of each batch. The Aizuhomare label earned gold at the International Wine Challenge for five consecutive years beginning in 2013 and was named Champion Sake in 2015 from a field of 876 bottles.
