西山酒造場創立於1849年，位於兵庫縣幾乎正中央、自然景色豐饒的丹波地區。酒造四季不斷釀造，全年隨時提供新鮮清酒。代表品牌「小鼓」以柔和的風味為特徵，是一款能襯托菜餚的清酒，追求成為客人終身相伴的日常之酒而非遙不可及的夢幻酒。近年來，酒造不僅生產清酒，還積極開發燒酎、利口酒及利用發酵技術的無酒精產品，以發酵產品豐富每個人的生活為驅動力。

沿革
- 1849Nishiyama Shuzo brewery founded in Kaei 2 (1849).
- 1877Hakuun Nishiyama (birth name Ryozo Nishiyama), the brewery's third-generation master, was born as the eldest son of the family.
- 1891The two-story wooden building 'Sansan-an', later a gathering place for writers and artists, was built; it displays haiku by Kyoshi Takahama and paintings by Usen Ogawa.
- 1903Hakuun Nishiyama met the haiku poet Kyoshi Takahama; he and his brother Hakugetsu became known as the 'Two Haku of Tamba' for their frequent lead features in the haiku journal Hototogisu.
- 1915In Taisho 4 (1915), the sake brand 'Kotsuzumi' was born, named by Kyoshi Takahama, and was first sold at the Hototogisu publishing house in Tokyo.
