- 1950Succeeded the business of Kato Shuzoten and founded as Meiri Shurui Co., Ltd.
- 1977The 'Meiri Ogawa yeast' developed by the company's Chikara Ogawa was registered as 'Association No. 10 yeast' at the request of the Japan Sake Brewers Association.
- 1981Won a Gold Award at the National New Sake Appraising and Deliberating Session for the first time.
- 1998Launched 'Hyakunen Umeshu' plum wine and opened the 'Bessyun-kan' plum wine and sake museum as a tourist site in Mito.
- 2000Celebrated the 50th anniversary of founding and launched the sweet potato shochu 'Manyuki'.
- 2011The Great East Japan Earthquake caused severe damage to the factory.
- 2014The company's Daiginjo won a Gold Award in the SAKE category of the International Wine Challenge (IWC), and the company began producing and selling 'Wa Vodka'.
- 2020Began producing high-concentration alcohol in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrated the 70th anniversary of founding.
