沿革
- 1808After the great fire of the 5th year of Bunka era, the current shop building (a traditional machiya townhouse) was rebuilt.
- 1874In Meiji 7, the brewery began sake production, using a storehouse acquired from the Matsudaira clan (former lords of the Matsue domain) as its brewing hall.
- 1947In Showa 22, after a postwar campaign to revive suspended breweries, 11 brewers joined together to resume sake production, founding Matsue Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 1956In Showa 31, the company was renamed Kokki Shuzo Co., Ltd. (limited company).
- 2006In Heisei 18, Hiroki Iwahashi inherited the brewing techniques from the previous toji and began brewing as the owner-toji.
- 2010In Heisei 22, the company was reorganized into Kokki Shuzo Co., Ltd. (joint-stock company).
