Nakazawa Shuzo was established in 1825 in Matsuda-machi, Kanagawa Prefecture, in the foothills below the Tanzawa mountains. The Shikinohakone label is named for the four seasons of the nearby Hakone resort region and uses the soft underground water flowing from the Tanzawa range, producing a lineup from honjozo to daiginjo that is sold locally and at Hakone station retail shops.
