Kuzo is the special label of Koyamahonkeshuzou Nadahama Fukutsurukura, a brewery in Nada, Kobe that uses natural spring water from the Rokko Mountains and brews year-round, an uncommon practice in the sake world. The name Kuzo, meaning empty cellar, was created after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake destroyed the original brewery, reflecting a spirit of rebuilding from zero.
