但馬綜合合夥釀造商自1702年起在兵庫縣朝來市釀造竹泉,取用竹澤川的純淨水——其名字正是品牌中「竹」與「泉」兩字的來源。酒藏在距主藏30公里範圍內自主種植所有用米,僅與朝來市及豐岡市的契約農家合作,並以7號酵母為唯一酵母株釀造全純米清酒。竹泉定位為「食中熟成純米燗酒」,每一瓶均專為佐餐而設計,而非單獨飲用。
