1899年创业于旭川的地方酒藏，坐拥大雪山严峻气候与丰富水资源，旭川素有"北海之滩"的美誉。使用原料米中超过90%为北海道产的"吟风""彗星""北雫"等品种，以北海道大米酿造的清酒深获好评。1975年诞生的辛口清酒"国士无双"，承载着"世间无二、流传后世"的心愿，是高砂酒造的代表品牌。近年来更导入利用雪国自然环境的"雪藏法"储存方式，并将每年约50吨的酒糟有效利用于产品开发，持续打造只属于旭川的地酒。

1899
Founder Tetsusaburo Kohiyama establishes Kohiyama Sake Brewing Store in Asahikawa, the fourth brewery in the city.
1909
The Takasago Meiji Sakagura brewery building is completed.
1926
"Asahi Takasago" wins Hokkaido's first first-place prize at the National Sake Competition.
1965
Merger with Ishizaki Shuzo Co., Ltd.; the company is renamed Takasago Shuzo Co., Ltd.
1975
Production begins on the flagship dry sake brand "Kokushimuso."
2005
Nihon Seishu Co., Ltd. provides support and the brewery continues as its subsidiary.
2007
Civil rehabilitation proceedings are concluded.
2017
The premium brand "Asahikamui" is launched.
