- 1885Sudo Honke was founded in Meiji 18 (1885), originally brewing along the Obitsu River about 3km from its current location.
- 2012In 2012, the current head of the brewery, Masatoshi Sudo, began personally overseeing sake production and expanding into shochu brewing and new research.
