沿革
- 1505Before 1505, the Inadera-ya brewery (predecessor of Kenbishi) was founded in Itami.
- 1740In 1740, Kenbishi was designated as the personal sake of the 8th shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune.
- 1929On November 1, 1929, Masao Shirakashi established Kenbishi Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. in Nada (Sumiyoshi), Kobe.
- 1945In 1945, the Sumiyoshi brewery was destroyed in an air raid.
- 1949In 1949, Kenbishi Sake Brewing was re-established in Mikage, with Masakazu Shirakashi becoming president.
- 1995In 1995, the Great Hanshin earthquake destroyed seven wooden storehouses (all but the Hamagura), and four employees died.
- 2007In 2007, Kenbishi became the first sake brewery in Japan to be registered as an agricultural product inspection body.
- 2020In 2020, Kenbishi launched its official online shop.
