該酒造於1712年(寶永9年)開始在此地釀酒。1907年,町內各酒造合併,酒銘由舊奧出雲統稱「日上郡」之名更改為「政宗日上神」。2012年迎來創業300周年。酒造倉庫建於1712年(寶永2年),位於島根縣南部入口,周邊神話與傳說交織,附近還有一座以商業守護神聞名的小神社。
